The new conversational AI tool allows orthodontic staff to use text commands to manage patient records, fill out forms, and navigate treatment planning software.
SoftSmile has launched Vision Concierge, a conversational AI agent integrated directly into its VISION treatment planning software and portal. The tool allows practitioners to execute clinical and administrative tasks using plain language text commands.
Automating Clinical and Administrative Tasks
By typing a request, users can prompt the agent to retrieve patient data, generate clinical summaries, translate records into multiple languages, auto-fill forms, and open the 3D treatment editor. The system is designed to bypass traditional menu navigation and manual data entry.
“Vision Concierge gives every orthodontic practice—regardless of size or staff—the operational efficiency of a fully resourced clinic,” says Khamzat Asabaev, founder and CEO of SoftSmile, in a release. “Tasks that previously took up to an hour of manual work can now be handled in a single conversation.”
Agent-Based AI Integration
The AI agent was trained on clinical orthodontic literature, established treatment protocols, clinician-approved setups, and the company’s proprietary knowledge base. It is built to adapt to individual user preferences and protocols over time.
“Vision Concierge operates on a principle that is fundamentally different from searching through documentation or using a help widget,” says Damian Gerikhanov, chief technology officer of SoftSmile, in a release. “Starting with the portal today, and extending into the treatment planning software itself, this is the foundation of a fully agent-driven clinical workflow.”
Future Development Roadmap
The release of Vision Concierge on the SoftSmile portal marks the initial phase of the company’s AI development plans. SoftSmile is working on an advanced agent-based system designed to propose complete treatment protocols and autonomously execute steps from case analysis and diagnostics to initial positioning and attachment placement. The company maintains that the treating doctor will retain final approval and control over each step of the process.
