DENTSPLY International Inc, York, Pa, has signed an agreement to acquire Astra Tech, MÖlndal, Sweden, from AstraZeneca for approximately $1.8 billion in cash.
Astra Tech, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca, operates Astra Tech Dental, which develops, manufactures, and markets dental implants and the Atlantis™ brand of CAD/CAM customized implant abutments.
