AlignCo Orthodontics, Omaha, Neb, is offering mascot themed brackets, allowing patients to personalize their orthodontic treatment. Officially launching in May at the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fla, the product line will feature more than 40 mascot options over time.
Current available mascots include University of Nebraska Huskers (shown), University of Kansas Jayhawks, University of Arkansas Razorbacks, University of Oregon Ducks, Brigham Young University Cougars, University of Arizona Wildcats, and University of Texas Longhorns.
The stainless steel and nickel-free, low profile brackets are available in both standard ligation and twin pre-adjusted. The brackets come in .018 and .022 slot sizes and feature four wings. Manufactured and assembled in the United States using the MIM process, the brackets are available in Roth and MBT prescriptions. The brackets should be placed within U3-3 only and can integrate with any system for early comprehensive treatment, according to the company.
